Well, if you believe that - and at least 19% of Americans apparently do - I guess that leaves only stupidity. What a choice of excuses these birds have, eh, V.?

PS: I do love their "snarling dog" defense, however.

Yeah, and he also said just recently that "the insurgents are in their last throes."

Not big on credibility, this guy.

Kevin said the suggestion that Bush or any member of the administration is not a self-serving, murderous jerkweed "is one of the most dishonest and idiotic comments ever made in this city."

My outrage and disgust-o-meter is smoking and ready to blow these last few days.

When I think of this guy -- *Mr. five deferrments, I have other priorities* placing a wreath at the tomb of the unknown soldier -- I am truly ready to spit nails.

FWIW, you might be able to do something to help people who are speaking out against the war, even as the Wrong Wing's attack dogs continue snarling.

Here are the phone numbers for Rep. John Murtha, one of the sane voices that Cheney et. al. are working so hard to discredit:

DC Office: 202-225-2065

Johnstown, PA, Office: 814-535-2642

I just called the Johnstown office to give my support, and you should have heard how relieved the staffer was to hear a friendly voice. I said, "You guys must be catching a lot of flack over this," and she said, "You wouldn't believe it -- it's been wild. We really appreciate your support."

So, if you have a spare moment, call and let them know that people do support his (and others') efforts to speak honestly about the situation in Iraq and what our options are.

Remember -- conservatives, by and large, have no problem telling other people what to do, and this makes their numbers seem larger than they are. Please do your part to help counteract this illusion.

And do it osnqwk!
