Not that *we* would consider it right...but, they've managed to make all their oil buddies richer and also they've cut all those taxes, too for their rich buddies.
Making their friends richer is their only priority. And they are doing it.
Al, did you read the Cheney article in Vanity Fair this month? It was good.
Not one thing that would help most of the people in this country, only their cronies, as blue girl said. Time to develop some sort of "Robin Hood" movement to get back these ill-gotten gains.
A bush supporter I have encountered claims he's great because "There hasn't been another terrorist attack in the US since 9/11." She sputters and gets huffy when you point out that 9/11 happened on W.'s watch, and tries to...BIG SURPRISE!...blame it on Clinton!
Um ... they abolished Slavery?
The tough thing about this question, of course, is who you're talking about. If you're talking about post-Raygun Republicans, then I think you're right ... I can count on one hand the number of issues where I think they've been correct. But if you take a hard look at Eisenhower-style Republicanism, I think it's got a lot going for it. That's one reason people like Kevin Phillips have abandoned the party.
Well, they are sorta unifying the Dem Party.
Nope. Can't think of a single thing they've done right in the past 25 years.
